Should a dotted degree acronym (L.C.P., C.P.) read as a title, like its one-period spelling? L.C.P. Ana Ruiz Paz vs LCP. Ana Ruiz Paz #979

Found by the dof-signatures local corpus (#977): the signature blocks of Mexico's Diario Oficial de la Federación for 2025, measured 2026-10-31 at cut version 6 (33,565 signatures, 6,644 distinct names). Example names are invented; the corpus is personal data and is not cited by name.

Shape. Mexican signatures put a professional degree's acronym before the name — C.P. (contador público), L.C.P., L.A.E., M.A.P., L.E.M., D.I. — written either with a period per letter or with one period at the end.

Today (default and locales.ES alike)

Size. 989 signatures (269 distinct names) open with a multi-chunk dotted acronym, and none reads it as a title: 985 read it as the given name, and 4 join two degrees with y into the given name (M.A. y C.P.C.). Most common: C.P. 422, L.C. 91, M.A.P. 55, L.C.P. 54, L.E.M. 38, L.A. 38, D.I. 36, L.A.E. 31. The one-period spellings (LCDA., LAE., MVZ., LCP., MAP.) read as titles.

Tension. Paired initials are a real name word: B.K. and K.C. are Nepali surnames (#864), and J.R.R. opens a given name. What separates L.C.P. Ana Ruiz Paz from J.R. Ana Smith — three or more chunks, a following run of two or more name words? A grid would have to measure it.

Question. Should the es pack list the common degree acronyms as titles (the vocabulary path, which outranks the shape)? Or is there a shape rule — a leading multi-chunk acronym with two or more name words behind it — that holds across scripts and packs? The second also reaches English B.A./M.D. before a name, so it needs the comma and name_order sweeps.
