GitHub at Google Cloud Next 2026

Meet GitHub at Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas April 22-24
What to expect
Join us at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center to explore how GitHub is the platform for agentic software development: open, integrated, and built for the way developers actually work.
Swing by our booth (#7201) for a quick lightning session, test your skills on an arcade game, dive into an in-depth demo, and score some swag! We will also have two conference speaking sessions in case you want to go more in-depth:
From CLIs and IDEs to PRs: How Agents Fit into Real Developer Workflows
Agents are showing up across developer tools, but it’s still unclear where they actually earn their keep in day-to-day work. This session examines how agents fit in real workflows using GitHub Copilot as a concrete case study. We’ll walk through end-to-end scenarios from planning work in the terminal to shaping code in the IDE, reviewing pull requests, and validating releases. The focus is on mechanics and tradeoffs: how agents manage context, when CLI workflows outperform IDEs (and when they don’t), and which patterns generalize beyond any single tool.
Speaker: Cameron Stewart, Director, Field Services, AMER West, GitHub
Date, Time, Location: TBD
Agents in the CLI: Planning, Delegation, and Multi-Agent Execution
A lot of developers are trying agent-driven workflows in the terminal only to find some patterns don’t scale past small experiments. This talk examines which CLI-based agent patterns hold up in practice using GitHub Copilot CLI as a case study. We’ll look at how developers can plan work, delegate steps, and coordinate multi-step tasks while staying in control. We’ll also look at the tradeoffs that matters when deciding whether these workflows belong in your day-to-day development process (and when switching to your IDE may be more helpful).
Speaker: Christopher Harrison, Senior Developer Advocate, GitHub
Date, Time, Location: Wednesday, March 22 @ 11:30am, Expo Theater 1
Looking for a more casual environment? You’re in luck! We will also be hosting a reception at Daylight Beach Club on April 22nd. Check back soon for more details.
Let’s build.
