Antes de poder usar Django es necesario instalarlo. Existe una gu\\\\u00eda de instalaci\\\\u00f3n completa que cubre todas las posibilidades; esta gu\\\\u00eda es simple, cubre una instalaci\\\\u00f3n m\\\\u00ednima que servir\\\\u00e1 mientras se recorre la introducci\\\\u00f3n.
Siendo un framework web escrito en Python, Django requiere Python. Funciona con Python 2.7, 3.2, 3.3, o 3.4. Estas versiones de Python incluyen una base de datos liviana llamada SQLite, as\\\\u00ed que no es necesario configurar un motor de base datos inmediatamente.
Para obtener la \\\\u00faltima versi\\\\u00f3n de Python, ir a https://www.python.org/download/ o instalar a trav\\\\u00e9s del administrador de paquetes de tu sistema operativo.
Django en Jython
Si us\\\\u00e1s Jython (implementaci\\\\u00f3n de Python para la plataforma Java), es necesario seguir algunas pasos adicionales. Ver detalles en /howto/jython.

Este paso s\\\\u00f3lo es necesario si quisieras trabajar con un motor de base de datos m\\\\u00e1s \\\\u201cgrande\\\\u201d como PostgreSQL, MySQL u Oracle. Para ello consult\\\\u00e1 la informaci\\\\u00f3n sobre la instalaci\\\\u00f3n de base de datos.
Si est\\\\u00e1s actualizando una versi\\\\u00f3n previa de Django es necesario desinstalar la versi\\\\u00f3n anterior antes de instalar una nueva.
Existen tres opciones f\\\\u00e1ciles de instalar Django:
Siempre recurrir a la versi\\\\u00f3n de la documentaci\\\\u00f3n que corresponde a la versi\\\\u00f3n de Django que est\\\\u00e1s usando!
Si segu\\\\u00eds cualquiera de los dos primeros pasos, hay que estar atentos a las partes de la documentaci\\\\u00f3n marcadas como new in development version (nuevo en la versi\\\\u00f3n de desarrollo). Esta frase indica caracter\\\\u00edsticas que est\\\\u00e1n solamente disponibles en la versi\\\\u00f3n de desarrollo de Django, y que muy posibiblemente no funcionen en un release oficial.
Para verificar que Django es accesible desde Python, tipe\\\\u00e1 python en tu shell. Una vez en el prompt de Python, intent\\\\u00e1 importar Django:

Primero comprueba si tu ordenador ejecuta la versi\\\\u00f3n 32 bits de Windows o la de 64, en "Tipo de sistema" en la p\\\\u00e1gina de "Acerca de". Para llegar a esta p\\\\u00e1gina, intenta uno de estos m\\\\u00e9todos:
Puedes descargar Python para Windows desde la siguiente web https://www.python.org/downloads/windows/. Clica en el enlace "Latest Python 3 Release -Python x.x.x". Si tu ordenador ejecuta la versi\\\\u00f3n de 64 bits de Windows, descarga Windows x86-64 executable installer. De lo contrario, descarga Windows x86 executable installer. Despu\\\\u00e9s de descargar el instalador, deber\\\\u00edas ejecutarlo (d\\\\u00e1ndole doble click) y seguir las instrucciones.
Una cosa para tener en cuenta: Durante la instalaci\\\\u00f3n, ver\\\\u00e1s una ventana de "Setup". Aseg\\\\u00farate de marcar las casillas "Add Python 3.6 to PATH" o "Add Python to your environment variables" y hacer click en "Install Now", como se muestra aqu\\\\u00ed (puede que se vea un poco diferente si est\\\\u00e1s instalando una versi\\\\u00f3n diferente):
